What is Lifestyle Medicine?

Lifestyle Medicine is an evidence-based medical discipline that uses therapeutic lifestyle interventions as the primary approach to prevent, treat, and often reverse chronic non-communicable diseases. It empowers individuals to achieve optimal health by addressing the root causes of illness through comprehensive lifestyle change.

Healthy nutrition

Adopting predominantly whole-food, plant-predominant eating patterns.

Physical activity

Engaging in regular, moderate-intensity movement.

Ensuring adequate and high-quality sleep.

Restorative sleep

The practice of Lifestyle Medicine is built on six core pillars:

Lifestyle Medicine integrates science, clinical practice, and public health to reduce the global burden of chronic disease and promote sustainable well-being for individuals and populations.

Stress management

Developing resilience and emotional balance.

Positive social connection

Fostering supportive relationships and community.

Reducing or eliminating tobacco, alcohol, and other harmful substances

Avoidance of risky substances
